Do I need experience to be a Voiceover Artist?

We had a call recently from a lady asking about voice training - so we talked her through the process.

Me: "So do you have any voiceover experience?"

Her: "I am a regular caller to XXX radio station"

Me: "Hmm. I don't think that counts"

Her: "But the station's heard all over London - in fact all over the UK on DAB"
